Being a dedicated foodie, I think a topic such as this is over due. I visit various eateries an some really nice an others not so nice. I believe that if a place is serving food then the bathroom should be extremely clean.
Unfortunately to many places do not live up to the correct standard. Some bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, not only do they lack hygiene but no one seems to care.
for example I was recently in Toby Carvery, in Purley. As wonderful as the food is and I do love a Carvery. I was disappointed with this particular branch as I could smell the bathroom whilst waiting for a table in the bar area. I mean really, how could one assume that this would be acceptable. So me being me I thought let me go an have a look. Well to my surprise the only suitable bathroom was the disabled toilet, at least. The bar toilet was disgusting and there weren't even many people in the bar area. Imagine to eat at Carvery one adult eating spends an average of of £10-£15 per head, which is okay. The customer turnaround is quick and the quantity is vast. Meaning there is no excuse for the bathroom being in that condition.
